Case study
THE CHANNEL
Forty videos, 311 subscribers, and a clear split in the data
Passetto’s channel is early. 311 subscribers, 40 videos, a median of 196 views.
The best video, “How to Build a Killer GTM Strategy for B2B SaaS”, has 4,000 views. That is 20× the median and about 13× the subscriber count. Subscribers cannot explain that number, which means strangers found it.
The second best, “The Best Go To Market Strategy for 2026”, has 1,500.

WHAT THE DATA SHOWS
Search titles beat opinion titles by a factor of ten
What the top two have in common
“How to build a GTM strategy for B2B SaaS” and “the best go-to-market strategy for 2026” are both phrases a founder or marketer types into a search box. The video exists to answer that exact query.
What the weaker ones have in common
“The Ugly Truth of Being a CMO” and “Why Measurement is Broken Forever” are takes. A take can be right and still have no one searching for it, and a channel with 311 subscribers has no audience to hand it to.
What it means at this size
A small channel cannot rely on its subscribers to push a video. It has to be found. That makes the title and the topic the whole growth plan: pick the query, answer it better than the page-one videos, and let search deliver the viewer.
Notice also that the 4,000-view video is four months old. Search videos keep earning after publish day, while opinion videos spike and stop.
WHAT WE DO WITH IT
What we do with it
Build a query list first. 30 searches a B2B SaaS founder actually types (strategy, metrics, tools, templates), ranked by how closely they match what Passetto sells.
One video per query. Title is the query, the first 30 seconds give the answer, chapters match sub-questions.
Keep the strong opinions, but as the second video. After a search video earns a viewer, a take on the same topic gives a reason to subscribe.
Measure queries won, not views. Which searches now return a Passetto video on page one, and what did those viewers do next?
Questions a SaaS founder would ask
We have no audience. Is YouTube pointless? The opposite. Search does not need your audience. 4,000 views on 311 subscribers is proof.
How many videos before it works? The two best Passetto videos came out of 40, so the hit rate is low until the query list is tight. That is why we start with the list.
Should founders keep posting hot takes? Yes, as a second layer. They do not replace search videos.
